1. Dates

Start time: 09:00 Please aim to be at the venue 15 minutes before the start time.
Finish: 17:30.
There will be an evening networking directly after the last workshop session. Our staff available on site will provide you with more details on the day.

Training is open only to registered delegates, who have done Level 1 online modules. 100% attendance at face-to-face training is required to receive your certificate, as well as completion of all online work. Please follow the registration on this page upon completion of online modules to ensure space on the chosen course is secured for interested attendees.
2. Payment
The training fee is 200 GBP/ 240 USD / 225 EUR per person. This applies to all registrations received between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020.
The fee includes: participation in the workshop, training materials, refreshments and lunch.
The fee does NOT include: travel, accommodation or meals (breakfast/dinner).
Payment must be made within 28 days of receiving the invoice and it can be settled online by card via this website or by bank transfer. Please ensure that this invoice is settled promptly in order to guarantee your place at your chosen workshop. If the invoice is issued within 28 days of the course start date, please make payment within 7 days or before the course begins, whichever is sooner.
3. Venue
This training workshop will take place in Madrid, Spain.
We are currently sourcing a venue, and will endeavour to confirm a location that is conveniently accessible from major travel routes.
Delegates will be notified of the venue address as soon as possible, and no later than 28 days in advance of the course start date.
4. Booking and cancellation policies
Payment should be made within 28 days of receipt of the invoice. If payment is not received within 28 days, your enrolment may be cancelled and the space made available to others. If the invoice is issued within 28 days of the workshop, payment will be due within 7 days or in advance of the workshop date, whichever is sooner. Your booking is guaranteed only once payment of fees has been made in full.
In the event of cancellation of the event by the Foundation, delegates will be accommodated at an alternative workshop of their choosing, or the full course fee will be refunded. In the event of cancellation, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation may not be held liable for travel or other personal costs incurred.
In the event of cancellation by a delegate with a minimum of 28 days' notice, a full refund will be provided. In the event of cancellation by a delegate within 28 days of the workshop, fees are non-refundable. Fees are transferable, so substitutions can be arranged should the named delegate become unavailable. To arrange a substitution, please email: operations@intaward.org
Delegates are responsible for making their own international travel, transfer and accommodation arrangements.
5. Additional information
All course delegates are required to complete Level 1 (online) before registering on the trainer led workshop and Level 2 pre-reading (online) before attending a Delivering the Award workshop.
Dress code for the training course is casual. Please be aware that there will be some walking involved as our trainers take you through an example supervison and assessement of Adventurous Journey near the training venue on day 2. You will need to bring comfortable walking shoes for this, and ensure your clothing is appropriate. You will not be walking any further than 5 miles in the area near the venue.
Please be advised photographs and/or video footage may be taken during the workshop. By taking part in this training you grant The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for training publicity and promotion purposes. This may include, (but is not limited to), the right to use them in printed and online publicity and on social media. If you do not wish to be included please inform the Foundation before the beginning of the event. If you would like to receive more information on how these images may be used please get in touch.
6. Accommodation
All delegates are responsible for organising their own accommodation. The Foundation does not recommend preferred accommodation providers. However, the venue for the workshop may be a suitable hotel.
7. Visa letters
If international delegates require a letter of invitation for a visa application, please contact our Team or Training and Events Officer. An invitation letter can be issued once the venue of the workshop has been confirmed.
